Zhan Decun, director of the foreign affairs office of the Guangzhou municipal government, met with Hosseinali Darvishi Motevalli, consul general of Iran in Guangzhou, on May 12.

The two sides carried out discussions on enhancing communication and cooperation between Guangzhou and its friendly city of Gorgan in Iran, in areas spanning the economy, trade, investment, culture, sports and smart city construction.

A preliminary consensus was reached during the meeting on pushing forward the development of a friendly and cooperative relationship between Guangzhou and other Iranians cities such as Tehran and Mashhad.
