The 7th IE expo Guangzhou, South China’s leading trade fair for environmental technology solutions, welcomed over 30 Belgian cleantech companies during its exhibition period of September 15 to 17.

These companies are all from the five provinces of Flanders. In the past 30 years, China has experienced a high degree of urbanization, and its requirements for living environment and quality have also increased rapidly. It undoubtedly provides essential market opportunities for clean technology companies in Flanders, Belgium. Therefore, the five provinces of Flanders jointly established a new project—Cleantech Route China (CRC)—with Chinese partners, aiming to assist China in peaking carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060.

The project will continue to bring Flanders’ latest research, innovative technologies, products, and solutions to China in clean technology. It will cooperate with Chinese partners to treat air pollution and recycle domestic and industrial wastewater, solid waste, and hazardous waste.
