Attention! Guangdong imposes new travel restrictions
Update: 2021-11-03     Source: Newsgd.com

Due to the latest COVID-19 resurgence on October 17, there are now 3 high-risk areas and 44 medium-risk areas in China. To prevent the epidemic from affecting Guangdong through tourism, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province issued a notice about epidemic prevention and control arrangements on November 1.

According to the notice, Guangdong strictly controls cross-provincial tours, suspending travel agencies and the online tourism enterprise business of group tours, air tickets and hotel reservations in provinces (cities and districts) with medium-high risk areas. The special tourist trains have been stopped and the scale of tourist groups has been strictly controlled.

People are advised to take local tours and tours in and around the province, reduce long-distance travel, and wear masks correctly at all times on public transport.

In addition, Guangdong will strengthen health screening and management of travelers from domestic epidemic areas, and strictly implement nucleic acid testing and health management measures.

Tourist groups staying in places where the epidemic occurred or returning to Guangdong should cooperate with relevant departments to carry out epidemic prevention and control, including isolation, transfer, nucleic acid testing and personal protection. People returning to Guangdong from the affected provinces should report to local communities and cultural and tourism departments.

There is also a limit on the number of visitors in certain cultural and tourism venues, including A-class tourist attractions, starred hotels, theaters, museums, public libraries, cultural centers and art galleries.

These venues are allowed to host up to 75 percent of their daily maximum reception capacity and must implement preventive and control measures such as reservations, off-peak opening, code scanning, travel code inspection, and temperature measurement.

What's more, people who have recently visited other provinces, especially the provinces (cities and districts) where the outbreak is occurring, should receive nucleic acid tests and health monitoring. Those who have been to the cities with medium- and high-risk areas should report to their communities in a timely manner and take health testing and management according to the local requirements.
