On March 30, Panyu District reported that one inbound traveler from outside Guangdong tested positive for COVID-19 during home quarantine. Details are as follows:

　　The patient is a 31-year-old man who left Jilin for Guangzhou by train No. Z114 on March 27. He tested negative on his arrival at Guangzhou East Railway Station at around 21:00 on March 28, and was then transferred to his residence in Donghuan Street of Panyu District for mandatory quarantine. He tested positive on the morning of March 30, and the reviewed result from Guangzhou CDC also came back positive. The patient was then sent to Guangzhou No.8 People’s Hospital for isolation and treatment. He was diagnosed as a confirmed case with mild symptoms.

　　In response, relevant municipal and district departments launched an emergency plan which includes epidemiological investigation, contact tracing, as well as control and disinfection measures on key exposure sites. Currently, every identified close and secondary contact has been quarantined, and COVID-19 testing and other response measures are well underway.

　　Based on the epidemiological investigation results, Building No.1 of Gongyuanhui Community in Donghuan Street is designated as a Lockdown Zone (starting from March 30, 2022), where all residents shall undergo mandatory home quarantine. Necessary services and goods will be delivered to their doorsteps.

　　Residents in the Lockdown Zone are required to cooperate with COVID-19 testing and other safety protocols as required by their street committee and residential community.
