Lastest update | Guangzhou resets risk level for all districts
Update: 2020-03-12     Source: Newsgd.com
According to the Guangzhou Municipal Government's latest announcement on March 8th, 8 of the city's 11 districts were graded medium-risk. The outliers are Nansha district, Conghua district and Zengcheng district, which were all graded low-risk. Compared to the assessment released on February 29th, Yuexiu district has been adjusted upward from low-risk to medium-risk.

Guangzhou has implemented a graded scheme which classifies different districts across the city into 3 levels regarding (COVID-19) infection risk.

The risk levels of all districts of Guangzhou are therefore presently as follows:

Will there be a stricter management for residential blocks and sightseeing areas in medium and high-risk areas?

In medium-risk areas, epidemic control measures should be implemented to the letter based on the thorough investigation of current cases and analysis. Restrictions on the flow of people should also be carried out in higher risk areas.

Should we wear masks when going out in low-risk areas?

Low-risk does not equal to no-risk. Residents in areas designated as low-risk should still pay attention to maintaining good habits to minimise their risk of exposure. The epidemic has not ended yet, therefore people must always wear masks when in crowded places or working in confined places and avoid unnecessary gatherings. If you show signs of running a fever or a persistent cough, please wear a mask and visit a designated hospital as soon as possible.
