This year's festival will focus on three main subjects, namely poverty alleviation, health, and life on the land.
This year's "China Stories" International Pitching Session is expected to take Chinese stories to a border global stage.
As a national-level documentary festival in China, GZDOC has grown into an international film festival after 17 years of development. GZDOC 2019 attracted 3,441 documentaries from 130 countries and regions to compete in it.
Submissions for this year's Golden Kapok Awards will last until Aug 31, while submissions for the "China Stories" International Pitching Session will last until Sept 20.
