An online conference is held on May 20, releasing the investigation report on 15 cities entering the finals for the fourth Guangzhou Award.
The investigation report on 15 cities entering the finals for the fourth Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation (Guangzhou Award) was released on May 20 during an online conference.
Liu Baochun, director of the foreign affairs office of the Guangzhou municipal government and the secretary general of the Metropolises Asia-Pacific Regional Office, attended the meeting and gave a speech.
A total of 11 other experts and scholars participated in the conference, including representatives from cities on the list, such as Milan, Italy and Utrecht, Netherlands.
Issues like the positive effects of urban innovation in the global fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were discussed during the conference. In addition, the conference has also called on more cities to participate in the Guangzhou Award.
