Update: 2020-05-26     Source: Newsgd.com

Officials of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Guangzhou visited Liwan District on May 22nd. The delegation toured to MINISO, a rapidly growing retailer in the household market, and attended a business partnering meeting with officers from the Liwan government.

During the meeting, Adam Bralczyk, Polish Counsel General in Guangzhou, and his delegation gave a presentation on the major Polish export industries including jewellery, cosmetics, IT and biotechnology. With the global economy suffering acutely from the pandemic, the Counsel General suggested relevant authorities from Guangzhou and Poland organize more online meetings between companies to provide more business matching opportunities.

An Jianguo, Deputy Chief Executive of the Liwan Government, introduced that Liwan has long been a center of trade in Guangzhou with more than 160 specialized wholesale markets. The sales volume of Hualin jade market alone makes up 90 percent of the city’s total trade volume of jade while Zhanxi Shoes wholesale Market is the largest footwear exporter in China.

An Jianguo highlighted that the district is presently undergoing major urban regeneration projects to revitalize both the living environment and economy. He promoted major projects including the Datansha International Health Medical City, aiming to attract related Polish enterprises in such sectors as medical health, technology and culture.

Founded in 2013, MINISO has signed cooperation agreements with more than 90 countries and regions including the United States, Singapore and Poland with an average monthly growth rate of 80 - 100 stores. The company is seeking partnership with designers, suppliers and marketing partners around the world.
