GBA young musicians to stage online concert at Canton Tower

Featuring the attendance of a dozen established pianists, violinists and bass players, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area online concert of young musicians will be held at the Canton Tower in Guangzhou on the evening of October 11th, 2020.

The concert will be broadcast live to audiences via multiple live streaming platforms, including Xinghai Live, N Video, KuGou, YY LIVE, and Huya.com.

The launch ceremony of the concert was successfully held at the Canton Tower on the afternoon of October 7th, 2020.

At the concert, Shen Lu, one of the top pianists in China and piano professor of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, will play Beethoven's Appassionata. Nie Jing, associate professor of Xinghai Conservatory of Music will work with young violinists Nie Jiapeng and Tan Yabing to present several music pieces by Beethoven as well. American Chinese pianist Luo Fei will give a piano solo featuring the power of youth.

Lin Chang, chairman of Guangzhou Youth Modern Music Association will join hands with Miao Lei, vice chairman of Guangdong Musician Association Percussion Arts Committee, and young bass player Yu Dian to perform several Chinese masterpieces including "Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon".

China's first girl band focusing on coloratura-pop crossover will take the stage to perform some well-known songs such as "Ballet in Spring" and "My Homeland" in a different way.

The launch ceremony of the concert was successfully held at the Canton Tower on the afternoon of October 7th, 2020. 

The concert aims to promote a musical and cultural exchange and to provide a communication platform for young musicians and music lovers in the Greater Bay Area.

The concert in Guangzhou is guided by the Council for the Promotion of Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Cooperation, Guangdong Musician Association, and Guangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and hosted by the Guangzhou Musician Association. After Guangzhou, further concerts will also be held in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao.
