Liu Baochun, director of the foreign affairs office of the Guangzhou municipal government, met with a delegation of five led by Ahmed Shettima, the new consul general of Nigeria in Guangzhou on Jan 14.
Liu outlined the current situation and policies on the prevention and control of COVID-19.
Shettima spoke highly of Guangzhou's efforts in pandemic prevention and control and expressed gratitude to Guangzhou for protecting the legitimate interests of Nigerians in the city.
Issues such as strengthening bilateral trade and investment and jointly fighting the COVID-19 pandemic were discussed during the meeting.
