Passengers who buy tickets during the Spring Festival period from January 28 to March 8 can refund their tickets for free or reschedule at least once, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said in a statement on Tuesday.
The move is aimed at restricting population migration during the holidays to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
Passengers whose flight dates are from January 28 to February 3 can apply for refund or rescheduling from midnight on Wednesday until before the flight takes off, and passengers with flight dates from February 4 to March 8 can apply from midnight on Wednesday until seven days before the departure of the flight, according to the statement.
