After a year of absence, Cantonese Temple Fair is coming back. The 2021 Cantonese Temple Fair will be open from February 26th to March 4th.

This year’s temple fair adopts a new form, yet it is still exciting.

New visual effects show Cantonese style

The Cantonese Temple Fair will be held online and offline simultaneously. A special homepage for Cantonese Temple Fair activities will be set up online. Many modules full of Cantonese characteristics can be seen on the page, such as art exhibitions, animation resources, and charity activities.

During the event, many cultural venues in Yuexiu District will hold theme exhibitions, featuring excellent animation works as well as cultural and creative products.

New technology guides you to play online

"5G+VR live broadcast" for online visiting is one of the major innovations of the 2021 Cantonese Temple Fair. 5G and VR live broadcast technology will enable users to tour well-known cultural attractions and exhibitions in Yuexiu without leaving their home.

Online games add fun

There are some Cantonese cultural questions designed for participants to join in and win prizes, like lantern riddles.

Among them, the “Cantonese 12 Shi Chen” game combines the Q&A related to Cantonese cultural knowledge with the twelve Shi Chen (one of the 12 two-hour periods into which the day was traditionally divided). Twelve mysterious answers are hidden in Yuexiu’s historical sites and cultural sites.

Chinese Painting Exhibition

The 2021 Chinese Painting Masters Exhibition of Cantonese Temple Fair will also be held at the same time.
