Guangdong invited foreign consular officers and journalists to tour Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguan from March 23 to 26, said Luo Jun, Deputy Director General of Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office (GDFAO) at a briefing on March 23.

The tour is organized by GDFAO and will feature companies and institutions in the technological sector, such as MINDRAY and KINGMED, aiming at showcasing the ways in which Guangdong has been pushing forward technological innovation and IP rights protection.
In addition, Luo Jun highlighted Guangdong is formulating the "One Core Region, One Belt and One Area", a regional development pattern with clearly defined functions, complementary advantages and high-quality development.
According to GDFAO, they will organize more tours in the future so that the consular officers and foreign media could gain more insights into Guangdong’s development plan during the 2021-2025 period as well as the pillar industries of different cities. The Office also expects to boost international exchanges and cooperation through these tours.

Officers of 53 Foreign Consulates in Guangzhou attended the briefing. The Consular Corps also attended a reception held by Guangzhou after the briefing.
