Guangzhou-HK-Macao Entry-Exit Building completes construction

Construction of the Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Entry-Exit Building has been completed in Guangzhou's Huangpu district. Both ferry and helicopter routes will be launched there to facilitate business, travel and emergency rescue services.

Hong Kong International Airport will be reachable in one hour and 20 minutes from Huangpu by water, and Tsim Sha Tsui will be reachable in one hour and 50 minutes. A 1.5-hour economic circle will take shape in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Construction of the Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Entry-Exit Building has recently been completed in Huangpu.

In addition, helicopters with a capacity of no more than 10 people will also be available. The Western District-China-Hong Kong City air route will be launched in the second half of this year, with two round-trips scheduled daily.

Two daily round-trips will be launched on the Western District-Macao air route at the beginning of 2022, and another two will be launched on the Western District- Hong Kong International Airport air route at the beginning of 2023.

The annual passenger throughput of the entry-exit building is forecast to be between 100,000 and 200,000 in its primary stages. It is expected to reach around 300,000 with the launch of more ferry and shipping routes as well as the opening of the Guangzhou Metro Line 5 Phase II.
