As the most advanced Roll-on/roll-off passenger ship in China，Guangzhou-made “Xiang Long Dao (祥龙岛)” was delivered Tuesday (January 18th) to its buyer, COSCO Shipping in Nansha.
Built by the Guangzhou Shipyard International Company, this ship is 208 meters long, 28.6 meters wide and has a maximum speed of 23 knots, making it the fastest ‘RORO’ passenger ship in the country.
Designed for transportation of both passengers and wheeled cargo, such as cars and trucks, the new ship can carry 1375 passengers and 500 vehicles. The upper space is built with cabins and recreational facilities, while the lower space is for loading.
This ship will soon be put into operation on the Dalian-Yantai sea route.
