All primary and secondary schools in Guangzhou will suspend offline classes and switch to online schooling starting from tomorrow (April 11), said Chen Xueming, deputy director of the Educational Bureau of Guangzhou Municipality at a press conference on April 10.

According to Chen, students in their final year of senior high school which have dormitories will be put under closed management, while for schools that do not have accommodation, online teaching will be carried out at home.
Kindergartens and after-school training institutions will cease offline teaching.
Custodian institutions will also suspend services temporarily.
Colleges and universities will implement closed management. Students are not allowed to leave campus unless necessary. Faculty and staff are required to travel only between home and school.
In addition, the Guangzhou Senior High School Entrance PE Examination, which was scheduled to start on April 11, has been put on hold. The new date will be notified later.
The above arrangements are tentatively implemented until 24:00 on April 17, and the subsequent arrangements will be adjusted and released to the public in time according to the epidemic situation.
