The first three greenways of the total 80 km greenways planned by the Nansha District Agriculture and Forestry Bureau have been constructed and put into use as demo projects, a well-informed official of the bureau said. These greenways offer local residents another natural resort for relaxation and entertainment.
These three greenways, which are respectively located in the Jiaomen River Bank, Coastal Park and Mt. Huangshanlu Forest Park in Nansha District, are 5,300, 2,200 and 10,000 meters in length respectively, costing one million yuan in total.
Among the planned eight inns for all the greenways in Nansha District, four of them are currently under construction. These inns will offer services like bike renting, beverage and Internet access services. At present, there are 100 bicycles and 35 tandem bicycles in the inn of Coastal Park, for the convenience of local residents and tourists who love going out by bike.
Another seven million yuan is to be invested in the construction of the remaining greenways in the district.
