Update: 2021-07-27     Source: Newsgd.com

The ecological belt is one of the most characteristic ecological waterfront spaces in Guangzhou. By the end of June this year, 609 kilometers of ecological belt had been built in the city. They have won two international design awards this year, -- the World Landscape Architecture Award for "Built-up urban Space" and the Landezine International Landscape Award for "Infrastructure".

The construction of ecological belt in Guangzhou has realized the coordinated development of urbanization, environmental governance and rural industries through the diversified integration mode of "ecological belt +".

Famous master participated in ecological belt design

Yuejiang ecological belt also uses measures such as green space, grass-planting ditches, stone and rain irrigation gardens to solve the problem of water accumulation in the ecological belt and store rainwater. Several famous exhibitions have been successfully held along the Yuejiang Road, such as the International Furniture Fair, the International Building & Decoration Fair, the China International Beauty Expo and the 28th Guangzhou Fair.

Yuejiang ecological belt connects Canton Tower, Haixinsha Island, Huancheng Square and other important city nodes in Guangzhou, providing high-quality waterfront space for citizens. In the future, Haizhu District plans to build 43 more kilometers of round-island ecological belt and 106.5 kilometers of district-wide ecological belt.

Ecological belt in the countryside becomes a new beauty spot

With a length of 2.78 kilometers, Dayuan ecological belt is located in Dayuan Village, Baiyun District. During the construction of ecological belt, water quality was improved through water environment management and ecological restoration. The open space around the road has also been transformed into a cultural square, basketball court and an equipment activity area. The polluted river area has been cleaned up and become a good place for residents to relax and enjoy themselves.
