Online exhibitions on display in April in Guangdong

It's the Qingming Festival holiday! Various museums and libraries in Guangdong have prepared an array of online exhibitions, performances and events for you to enjoy audio and visual feasts at home. Let's have a look!

Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area & Export of Silk Products in the Ming & Qing Dynasties

Entitled "A Tale of Three Cities," the exhibition is co-hosted by three museums, namely the Guangdong Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Museum of Macau. A total of 211 showpieces, including exported paintings, silks, household supplies, accessories, offered by these three museums are on display, allowing you to learn more about exported silks produced in the Ming and Qing dynasties as well as the importance of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao to connect various regions in the world together through the maritime silk road.

Classical Chinese Paintings of Seasonal Themes

With various seasons as the clue, this exhibition sorts out and displays the traditional paintings created in various seasons. More than 200 showpieces are on display in batches, including cultural relics such as paintings, ceramics, folkways, ancient documents and intangible cultural heritage displays such as palace lanterns, flower arrangements and porcelain figurines. It provides a gateway for you to enjoy traditional Chinese culture and customs and to appreciate the paintings featuring various seasons.

The stories of Lu Xun and CPC

Based on the whole life of Lu Xun, a preeminent litterateur and revolutionist of China, the exhibition shares the impressive stories of Lu Xun with the CPC during China's revolutionary era through over 200 pictures and more than 200 showpieces.

Trans-figuration -- Xue Song Art Exhibition

Xue Song is a contemporary Chinese artist. After graduating from Shanghai Theatre Academy in 1989, Xue has been living in Shanghai. Witnessing the economic transformation and dramatic changes happening in the urban areas after the reform and opening up, Xue's creation is basically in line with the advancement of Chinese contemporary arts. The art exhibition also tries to present the relationship between social transformation and the revolution in the field of arts.

Pear Blossom Turns White ­­Yan Bing

Yan Bing's solo exhibition entitled "Pear Blossom Turns White" held in the No.7 Space of the Guangdong Museum of Art created a tranquil space isolated from the hustles and bustles of the outside world. His works feature his profound deliberation of his own experiences in contemporary society.
