Visitors will be able to view ink wash, oil, and watercolor paintings, as well as woodblock prints and calligraphy put into a timeline, bringing the history of the Institute to life.
Founded in 1959 and formerly known as ‘Guangzhou Traditional Chinese Painting Institute, Guangdong Art Institute is one of the four major art institutes in China and has had a significant influence on the art circle over the past 60 years. The institute is home to a great number of nationally celebrated artists, such as woodcut artist Huang Xinbo, painter Guan Shanyue, painter and calligrapher Fang Rending, and oil painter Yu Ben.
The exhibition is open to the public for free.
