Update:2025-04-24    Source: GDToday

April 21, 2025, marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone in Nansha. Over the past decade, Guangzhou's Nansha has experienced significant industrial development, particularly in cross-border e-commerce (CBEC), by promoting innovative forms of foreign trade. From 2014 to 2024, Nansha's CBEC exports and imports surged from 20 million yuan ($2.736 million) to over 46 billion yuan ($6.2928 billion). Its CBEC turnover has consistently ranked first among national comprehensive bonded zones.

Currently, Nansha has evolved into a diversified, full-chain CBEC hub with both domestic and international reach. Many globally renowned brands have established national or even Asia-Pacific distribution centers in Nansha. Platforms such as TEMU and SHEIN are also operating here, supporting Nansha's goal of "buying globally and selling globally."

In addition to cross-border e-commerce, Nansha's foreign trade has experienced diversified development across multiple formats. In automotive exports, Nansha has actively established a Chinese automotive export base. As of 2024, it has launched eight auto export shipping routes, covering regions such as the Middle East, Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia. In 2024, Nansha District achieved 9.85 billion yuan in automotive exports, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of approximately five-fold during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) period.
