In the face of economic headwinds, the commercial sector in Nansha district of Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, is forging ahead amid structural adjustments.

In the first quarter of this year, the wholesale commodity sales in Nansha reached more than 100 billion yuan ($13.7 billion), ranking among the top three in the city in terms of growth rate. Key industries such as automobiles, petroleum, chemicals, and coal also saw impressive growth, demonstrating resilience amid a changing landscape.

Behind the achievements are efforts by Nansha's commerce bureau, which strives to promote policy implementation and services, help enterprises navigate through headwinds, and implement a variety of strategies to boost the confidence of businesses in the commercial sector.

In February, the district rolled out measures to promote the high-quality development of commercial and trade services, tailoring precise measures to accommodate individual enterprises. The policy strengthens support for pillar industries, establishing cross-departmental mechanisms to help enterprises that need it.

Currently, the commercial sector in Nansha is on the rise.

Moving forward, Nansha's commerce bureau will adhere to an approach marked by precise services and policy support, aiming to help businesses and propel high-quality development in the commercial and trade sector.
