First China-Europe e-commerce express from Guangzhou reaches Europe in just 13 days
Update:2025-06-20    Source: GDToday

At 3 p.m. on June 18, Guangzhou's first China-Europe Railway e-commerce express, loaded with home appliances, apparel, and daily goods, departed from the Guangzhou Eastern Road-rail Intermodal Transport Hub and is expected to arrive in Italy in just 13 days via Khorgos in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

With this new service, European customers can receive orders in as little as 20 days from placement. The domestic process, from warehouse to customs clearance and shipment from Guangzhou's Zengcheng West Railway Station, takes only 4 days. The rail journey to Europe lasts 13 days, followed by 3 days for overseas customs clearance and delivery.

The new service is scheduled to operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It reduces transit time by over 50% compared to traditional sea freight while costing only a quarter of air freight, providing a new logistics solution for cross-border e-commerce goods weighing over 3 kilograms.

This route also fully implements the 9610 supervision model, a code introduced by the General Administration of Customs for B2C cross-border e-commerce exports. It employs a list-based verification and summary declaration approach, significantly boosting clearance efficiency and reducing costs.

With the launch of this express service, around 40 TEUs of cross-border e-commerce goods are expected to be shipped weekly. In the second half of 2025, over 1,000 TEUs are projected for export.
