Update:2023-02-15    Source: Newsgd.com

At 3:00 PM on February 12, Guangzhou Customs quickly supervised and released the first batch of relief provisions sent to Syria at Guangzhou Port.

The relief supplies departed from Guangzhou Nansha Integrated Bonded Areas, flew to Dubai by flight CZ383 via Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, and landed in Syria via a connecting flight.

Recently, Guangzhou Customs has set up a "green channel" exclusively for the customs clearance of relief suppliers and assigned special personnel. Also, an information exchange mechanism with export enterprises was established, in order to coordinate with freight stations to cope with cargo handling and other operations first and ensure rapid delivery and punctual shipment.

After the strong earthquake in Türkiye and Syria on February 6, as of February 12, Guangzhou Customs had inspected and cleared 12 batches of relief materials, including medical monitors, blood pressure sleeves, rescue equipment, generators, communication equipment, tents and cold-proof clothing, with a total weight of 44.5 tons.
