The “Understanding China·Greater Bay Area Dialogue” opens on April 19 in Guangzhou, the capital city of south China’s Guangdong province and will last until April 20. Global dignitaries as well as representatives from international organizations and multinational corporations gather and will exchange their ideas under the theme of Chinese Modernization and New Opportunities for the World.

The event includes 10 parallel forums, four closed-door seminars, and three special sessions, which are expected to shed light on such topics as Chinese modernization, high-quality development, high-standard opening-up, Chinese democracy, the development trend of global bay areas, China-Europe relations, China-US ties, and their influence on the world.

The event is the first thematic forum of the Understanding China Conference, which is co-organized by the China Institute for Innovation and Development Strategy, the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, and the Foundation Prospective and Innovation.
