As one of the heat pump giants in China, PHNIX sells 60 percent of its products to EU countries and North America, taking a quarter of China's export market on air source heat pumps.
According to Wang Gang, Deputy Director of the Operation Department of PHNIX, the collection and analysis of quality data have helped the first-time pass rate increase to 99.8 percent from 79.8 percent, though this process just started in 2020.
Zhao Hu believes digitalization is an ongoing process as technologies are constantly updating and the demands are ever-changing. "Digitalization has brought what is impossible possible through remote control. Managers do not need to monitor on-site; they can check the efficiency, analyzing and even solving problems through online platforms. Technicians can offer help from afar to operation staff in the testing part, saving more costs on business trips."
"In our company, digitalization has brought a jump to efficiency and quality in the designing procedure. It shortened the designing period from 10 months to 4 or 5 months and decreased the rate of modifying designs from 6 percent to less than 1 percent. Xu Qingsong, Director of the Information Department of AKM Meadville, held that digitalization is like the eyes of the company to monitor production and reflect problems. "In the next step, I hope it can serve as the brain of our company by adding the ability to solve problems. We have applied our digitalization to seven factories of our company as well, so that staff can be updated with the latest data, enhancing our teamwork ability with lower communication cost," said Xu.

Zhang Hu also highlighted that "Most of our spending on digitalization is subsidized by the government of Nansha District, sharing our burdens and accelerating our digitalization."
In 2021, Huawei (Nansha) Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center was put into use with the support of the Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee and provided solutions on digitalization for enterprises in Nansha, including those mentioned above.
