After a four-year hiatus, the Conversation between Greece and China took place in Athens, Greece. It aims to further promote cultural exchange and cooperation between both countries, local media outlets reported on Nov 21.

During the event, a video showcased the story of two crane operators from Nansha Port in China connecting with friends from Piraeus Port in Greece. Through their shared expertise, they forged a link between the two ports and the two countries.

Owning the only sea port in Guangzhou, Nansha district has witnessed the prosperity of the ancient Maritime Silk Road. It has also established a connection with the people of Greece.

Major international shipping companies such as Maersk Line (MSK), Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), and COSCO Shipping have opened direct container liner services that operate from Guangzhou Nansha Port to Piraeus Port in Greece.

Currently, Guangzhou Nansha Port oversees 153 international liner routes, connecting with over 310 ports in more than 120 countries and regions. It is one of the busiest ports in the world.
