On April 23rd, the second phase of the 135th Canton Fair kicked off, showcasing a plethora of home goods.

Covering a vast area of 515,000 square meters, the offline exhibition of the second phase boasted 24,658 booths with participation from 9,820 enterprises. Among them, 936 were distinguished as Canton Fair brand enterprises. Moreover, the online platform featured around 1.08 million exhibited products. The 15 exhibition areas focus on household items, gifts, and decorations, as well as building materials and furniture.

Notably, the building materials and furniture sector occupied nearly 140,000 square meters with 6,448 booths and 3,049 participating companies. Meanwhile, the household goods section spanned over 170,000 square meters with 8,281 booths and 3,642 exhibitors. Additionally, the gifts and decorations area covered almost 200,000 square meters, housing 9,371 booths and welcoming 3,740 enterprises. Each sector reached the scale of a large professional exhibition, facilitating the showcase and promotion of the entire industry chain. This not only enhances the attractiveness of the event to potential buyers but also facilitates one-stop purchasing, thereby improving the efficiency of supply and procurement coordination. Moreover, it fosters inter-industry communication, collaboration, and coordinated development, ultimately leading to the creation of more business opportunities.

As of April 18th, the second phase's online platform had amassed approximately 1.08 million exhibited products, including 300,000 new products, 90,000 IP products, 210,000 environmentally friendly and low-carbon products, and 30,000 smart products.

The Phase II attracted 220 companies from 30 countries and regions. Notably, 144 companies from 18 Belt and Road Initiative countries, such as the Republic of Korea, Turkey, Egypt, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Ghana, accounted for about 65% of the total.

Furthermore, the fair will host trade promotion activities, including the Import Exhibition Home Products Matchmaking Event on April 24th, where high-quality kitchenware, household goods, and gifts from countries like Germany, Italy, Japan, and the Republic of Korea will be showcased, inviting professional import and export traders and buyers to participate. The event includes activities such as the promotion event for companies, exhibitor product displays, and networking sessions, aimed at helping participants explore opportunities for importing household products.

In addition, three industry events are set to take place, including the Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Memorandum for Canton Fair Design Award-winning Products Entering the China National Archives of Publications and Culture in Guangzhou, the Canton Fair Design InnovationSharing Meeting, and the Canton Fair Trade Promotion Symposium.
