Abnormal test results were detected in the routine PCR testing conducted in Haizhu District. In order to curb the spread of COVID-19 as soon as possible and according to the results of comprehensive assessments, Haizhu District COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command Center made the decision to strengthen COVID-19 control and prevention measures starting from 8:00 on August 31 to 24:00 on September 2, 2022, as follows:
1. All kindergartens, primary and middle school in Haizhu District shall suspend their return to school and offline teaching, all training institutions shall suspend offline teaching, and nursery and childcare institutions shall suspend their services.
2. Social activities and gatherings will be restricted in the area encircled by Binjiang West Road - Binjiang Middle Road in the north, Changgang West Road - Changgang Middle Road in the south, the Pearl River in the west, and Dongxiao Road in the east. The details are as follows:
Please practice a good personal protection and it is recommended that residents should not leave the zone for non-essential reasons. Gatherings and social activities shall be strictly restricted. Please follow social distancing of one meter, cooperate with us to take the PCR testing and monitor your health every day. If you experience any symptoms such as a fever, dry cough, fatigue, or a sore throat, please visit a hospital immediately.
The management of entry and leaving shall be strictly implemented in communities, public institutions, compounds and enterprises, including measures such as temperature checks, venue code scanning and checks of negative PCR testing results within 24 hours at the entrance.
All dine-in services shall be suspended, and all the enclosed, semi-enclosed and entertainment venues shall suspend operations. Companies and institutions are recommended to work from home.
Measures such as traffic limiting, temperature checks, venue code scanning, and checks of negative PCR testing results within 24 hours at the entrance will be strictly implemented at supermarkets and farmers’ markets.
The measures will be dynamically adjusted according to the development situation of COVID-19.
