On June 6, Guangzhou reported 3 new locally confirmed cases of COVID-19, 1 confirmed case that was transferred from a previously asymptomatic case, and 1 new imported confirmed case. 2 patients were cured and discharged.

On the same day, 1 new local asymptomatic case and 7 imported asymptomatic cases were also reported in Guangzhou.

As of Sunday, Guangzhou has reported a total of 846 imported confirmed cases and 461 locally confirmed cases (including cases related to imported cases). A total of 1200 patients were treated and have been discharged and 1 patient has died. Including the recent outbreak, there are currently 106 cases still being treated in hospitals.

Confirmed Case No.1:Male, 80 years old, lives in Lane 6, Heyuan Middle Road, Baihedong Street, Liwan District (荔湾区白鹤洞街道鹤园中路六巷), detected from key population screening.

Confirmed Case No.2:Female, 77 years old, lives In Lane 6, Heyuan Middle Road, Baihedong Street, Liwan District (荔湾区白鹤洞街道鹤园中路六巷), detected from key population screening.

Confirmed Case No.3:Male, 68 years old, lives in Lane 4, Guanhe Xiaoqu, Baihedong street, Liwan District (荔湾区白鹤洞街道观鹤小区四巷), detected from key population screening.

Asymptomatic Case No.1:Male, 12 years old, lives in 13 Lane, Heyuan East Road, Baihedong Street, Liwan District (荔湾区白鹤洞街道鹤园东十三巷), a close contact of a confirmed case on June 4.

All the above cases were detected from key population screening, and have been transferred to Guangzhou No.8 People’s Hospital for quarantine and treatment.

Imported confirmed case No.1:Male, 38 years old, Chinese national. He departed from Tanzania on June 1, by flight WY706, WY851, and arrived in Guangzhou on June 4.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.1:Male, 27 years old, Chinese national. He departed from Qatar on June 2, by flight WY664, WY851, and arrived in Guangzhou on June 4.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.2:Male, 35 years old, Chinese national. He departed from Qatar on June 2, by flight WY664, WY851, and arrived in Guangzhou on June 4.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.3:Male, 31 years old, Chinese national. He departed from Indonesia on May 19, by flight CZ388, and arrived in Guangzhou on May 22.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.4:Male, 50 years old, Chinese national. He departed from Liberia on May 18, by flight AF521, CZ348, and arrived in Guangzhou on May 21.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.5:Male, 28 years old, foreign national. He departed South Korea on May 20, by flight OZ3693, and arrived in Guangzhou on the same day.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.6:Male, 45 years old, Chinese national. He departed from Cameroon on May 18, by flight MS888, MS958, and arrived in Guangzhou on May 21.

Imported asymptomatic confirmed case No.7:Male, 29 years old, Chinese national. He departed from Tanzania on May 25, by flight WY706, WY851, and arrived in Guangzhou on May 28.

After entering Guangzhou, the 1 new imported confirmed case and 7 new imported asymptomatic cases have all been transferred to the designated quarantine site at the Guangzhou No.8 People’s Hospital for isolation and treatment after getting a positive result in nucleic acid test for COVID-19.
