Guangzhou, the Canton Fair city, boasts to host trade fairs and events all year round. The new Guangzhou Baiyun International Conference Center, opened at this year's beginning, has become a new hot choice for important business meetings and events.

Located in the core area of Baiyun New Town and at the foot of Baiyun Mountain, the Guangzhou Baiyun International Conference Center is the second phase of the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center, adjacent to the Guangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center.

The Conference Center is located in the core area of Baiyun New Town and at the foot of Baiyun Mountain, adjacent to the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center and the Guangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center.

The Conference Center was designed by He Jingtang, an academic at the Chinese Academy of Engineering and his team. He Jingtang is the designer of many famous landmarks in China, including the China Pavilion of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, the Guangzhou branch of the National Archives of Publications and Culture, the Guangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center, Haixin Bridge, and many more. 

With a design concept inspired by the Baiyun Mountain and Lingnan culture, the Conference Center highlights overhanging eaves, courtyards and other features of traditional Lingnan architecture, while bringing in the graceful scenery of Baiyun Mountain to present a new Chinese-style building. The three inner courtyards, with the theme "Nation", "Hometown" and "World", are exquisite and elegant, displaying the essence of the Cantonese culture.

The Conference Center is designed to hold high-end conferences, exhibitions and banquets. It is equipped with an intelligent management system, a solar photovoltaic system, air sterilizers and so on to create a smart and first-class destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE). Two of its largest halls are the Lingnan Hall on the first floor and the Huacheng Hall on the fifth floor, covering an area of 2,800 square meters and 2,520 square meters respectively.

Together, the Convention Center and the Conference Center have over 100 conference halls and more than 1,000 guest rooms, and can accommodate over 10,000 people for meetings at the 450,000-square-meter venues.

Since its operation at the beginning of the year, the Conference Center has served more than 40 important political and business meetings, foreign affairs activities and the like, including the Guangdong High-quality Development Conference, Launch Ceremony of "Invest in China Year" Activities, and the 9th Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference.
