The 20th Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival, China (GZDOC) is set to take place in Guangzhou from December 4 to December 7. It is the only national-level professional documentary festival in China and the largest state-level documentary festival in Asia, featuring over 80 activities this year.

As an important session of GZDOC, the Golden Kapok Awards Competition will unveil winners among 198 finalists after reviews and selections. These documentaries cover a wide range of subjects including history, humanities, social issues, natural geography, biographies, culture and art, and more. Moreover, a selection of exceptional documentaries will be screened at various cinemas in Guangzhou.

Additionally, the Festival will also host a series of forums and conferences, drawing in hundreds of directors, producers, academic experts, and industry professionals from around the world to delve into Chinese stories from an international perspective. Creators will also explore the theme of "era" to share their insights and experiences.

Furthermore, the "International Pitching Session" is another highlight of the Festival. Chinese and international buyers, broadcasters, and key players from the industry will be invited to develop the pre-sale, co-production, and commission of documentary projects in the categories of 'China Stories' Documentary Film, 'China Stories' Documentary Series, Greater Bay Area Documentary, and International Documentary.
