The new pavilion of the Guangzhou Art Museum will officially open to the public on Nov 30.
The pavilion covers an area of over 30,000 square meters, and has a total construction area of nearly 80,000 sq m.

The Guangzhou Art Museum combines history and modernity, technology and tradition, and Lingnan-style architecture with international standards. This location showcases the charm of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and promotes international art exchanges.
The new pavilion's architecture incorporates photovoltaic technology and energy-saving technology, achieving a 50 percent energy-saving rate while also integrating architectural technology and aesthetics.
The new pavilion will utilize the five floors it has above ground and the two floors it has underground to house modern art exhibits and facilities for cultural education and public services.

A collection of over 33,000 art pieces will be exhibited to the public when the new pavilion opens. The exhibition content includes topics such as ancient Chinese paintings, modern and contemporary Guangdong art, as well as fine artwork from the Chinese Art Museum.
