To celebrate the International Women's Day on March 8, a series of wonderful travel promotions were launched in different scenic spots across Guangdong, providing women with an opportunity to take benefit of a delightful and relaxing travel experience on this special occasion.

Outdoor getaways

Ladies can explore Guangzhou's Baiyun Mountain (白云山) for just 3.8 RMB, where they will encounter a wide variety of birds and learn the art of flower arrangement. Likewise, female tourists visiting Danxia Mountain (丹霞山) in Shaoguan can enjoy the same discounted price as that of the annual pass for local citizens (30 RMB per ticket).

Many scenic spots also offer free admission for women, such as Liuxi Lake Scenic Spot (流溪湖景区) and Wuzhishan Scenic Spot (五指山景区) in Guangzhou's Conghua District, along with a festive gift of a carnation flower. Female tourists can enter Shaoguan's Xianmen Qixia Scenic Spot (仙门奇峡景区) free of charge until March 10. In addition, Maofeng Mountain (帽峰山), Auswor (七彩澳游世界), and Butterfly Valley Eco-tourism Area (蝴蝶谷生态旅游区) in Guangzhou also offer discounted prices for companions of ladies.

Song and dance performance

Women dressed in Hanfu, cheongsam, or horse-face skirt (Mamianqun, a traditional Chinese skirt) can enjoy free admission to the Chuanlord Tourism Leisure Expo Park (长鹿旅游休博园) in Foshan, where they can immerse themselves in Cantonese opera performances and lantern displays.

In addition, Haizhu National Wetland Park (海珠湿地) in Guangzhou offers women a 50% discount on admission on March 8. The Flower Festival held from March 8 to 31 at the park will provide ancient dances and music performances for the public.

Ancient charms

On March 8, ladies can visit several ancient gardens at discounted prices. Those dressed in Hanfu or cheongsam can enjoy complimentary entry to Yuyin Shanfang (余荫山房), and women wearing Hanfu will receive a half-price discount at Baomo Garden and Nanyue Garden (宝墨园和南粤苑) in Guangzhou.

During the Kaiping Diaolou Cheongsam Festival from March 6 to 31, ladies wearing cheongsam can enjoy a half-price discount on admission when purchasing tickets at the Liyuan Garden (立园). They can also admire classic Cantonese opera shows in the garden every weekend during the festival.
