The "New Vitality, New Leap - 2024 Guangzhou World-Class Commercial District High-Quality Development Seminar" kicked off Wednesdayin a Central Business Zone of Liwan District, Guangzhou.

Liwan Districtrevealed on the ceremony that the Bai'etan Central Business Zone will enlarged with about additional 800,000 square meters of commercial space and nearly 2 million square meters of commercial and office space, to become the largest among the city's five major world-class landmark commercial districts.

Officials from the Liwan District Government of Guangzhou City introduced that in recent years, the Bai'etan area has completed the transfer of 23 commercial plots, releasing construction space of 1.34 million square meters, and driving the implementation of over 100 key projects with a total investment of 370 billion RMB.

Currently, the Bai'etan Art and Culture Center, a cultural flagship, has entered the stage ofinterior finishingand is about to open. Projects such as the Wanxiang Complex, Binjiang Taikoo Li, CITIC Taifu Guangchuan, and Wan Hui Tian Di are progressing rapidly. The collaboration between Xingsheng Commercial and Guangzhou International Medical Port has resulted in the opening of COCO PARK to the public.

In addition, the Bai'etan Central Business Zone will add approximately 800,000 square meters of commercial space and nearly 2 million square meters of commercial and office space, ranking first among the city's five major world-class landmark commercial districts in terms of scale.

In the future, Bai'etan will establish a transportation system that connects internally and externally, comprehensively enhance its carrying capacity Policies covering five major categories including headquarters economy, industry, technology, finance, and talent, and more, will help tocreate a high-quality business environment.

In the next three years, Bai'etan plan to build 6 million square meters of high-end industrialincubators, including 2 million square meters of high-standard industrial plants, 2 million square meters of commercial office space, 1 million square meters of high-end commercial space, and 1 million square meters of old property renovation, providing  support formodern urban industry, productive services, and modern commerce ofthe area.
