9 May�C Guangzhou Mayor, Zhang Guangning, met with president of Mitsui OSK Lines Ltd (MOL), Mr. Kunio Suzuki, and his delegation in the East Hall of the Guangzhou Municipal Government building, where the two parties held cordial discussions.
Mr. Zhang extended a warm welcome to the guests from MOL and briefed them concerning Guangzhou's socio-economic development. He stated that Guangzhou attaches great importance to the construction and development of transportation facilities such as sea and air ports. And, went on to express his hope that MOL, which is a world famous marine transportation enterprise with a great deal of experience in port management and cargo transportation, will increase its cooperation with Guangzhou.
Mr. Zhang said that investment and participation in the development of Guangzhou Port by enterprises such as MOL would be welcomed.
Mr. Kunio Suzuki praised Guangzhou's investment environment, saying that he had full confidence in MOL's business prospects in Guangzhou.
