Starting from midday today, Guangzhou is embracing the warm sunshine again. The weather is so nice that you, especially with the kids, must be eager to go out and discover traces of spring.
On January 1, Guangzhou launched the first batch of parks where tents can be put up and provide more leisure space for residents. Why not bring a tent, or just a simple blanket, to enjoy the sunshine on a beautiful lawn this weekend?
Baiyun Lake Park

Tent area: Lawn at the entrance of the North Gate
Covering an area of 200 hectares, Baiyun Lake is the largest artificial lake in Guangzhou's urban area and a national water conservation scenic spot. The lake is dotted with small islands and surrounded by several large lawns. Come visit the park on a sunny weekend, you can set up your picnic mat and tent, enjoying some quality time with your love ones.
Ersha Island

Tent area: three parks on the island
There are three parks where tents can be pitched on Ersha Island, including Chuanqi Park, Ersha Island Art Park, and Guangzhou Development Park. Ersha Island is the best location for photographing a number of landmark buildings in Guangzhou, such as the Canton Tower and the skyscrapers in Zhujiang New Town, recording your happiest moments in the city.
Zhujiang Park

Opening hours: 06:00-22:00
Tent area: a large lawn in the west of the park.
Located in the central region of Zhujiang New Town, Zhujiang Park is among the best choices for commuters to enjoy some leisure after work. It is decorated with sculptures and characteristic stones. There are also streams passing through bridges and winding paths in the park.
Huizhan Park

Tent: lawn area in the park
Featuring a boulevard and lakes, Huizhan Park is located alongside the Pazhou International Exhibition Center. Residents can put up tents under the towering old trees, or ride leisurely on the boulevard.
