The 38 finalists in the first Guangzhou Historical and Cultural City Photo Contest has been unveiled recently after over 10 months' soliciting.
Guangzhou became one of China's historical and cultural cities in 1982. The shooting areas of this contest include the historic districts of Guangzhou city, 26 historical and cultural districts and 815 historical buildings as well as the historical sites of red revolution and the historic buildings of industrial heritage in Guangzhou.
The contest is co-hosted by Guangzhou Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau and Guangzhou Office of Historical and Cultural City Preservation together with Guangzhou Lingnan Architecture Research Center and Guangzhou Daily Group.
