The number of libraries in Guangzhou has reached 1,315 by the end of June this year, contributing to the construction of a “City of a Thousand Libraries”. And the city endeavors to provide more new reading spaces to meet the growing cultural demand of the public.
Among the 42 “Public Cultural Spaces in the Flower City”, selected by the Guangzhou Municipal Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau in 2021 and 2022, 18 venues are convenient reading spaces for children and families in communities. With modern architectural designs, the venues also offer services including popularization of art, exhibition, training, and catering. Being in these venues, kids are exposed to stimulating learning environments, and parents can have quality time with their children.
Here is a list of the 42 cultural spaces, with the 18 reading spaces highlighted with star marks.
