The South China National Botanical Garden in Guangzhou's Tianhe district was recently listed as part of the first batch of 16 environmental education demonstration bases in Guangdong province in 2022.

Built in 1929, the botanical garden is the largest subtropical botanical garden in China, and is China's second national botanical garden. It boasts a conservation exhibition area of 283 hectares and preserves over 13,000 species of plants.
