The Chinese Antique Academy and the Architecture Society of China recently released the seventh list of "Chinese 20th Century Architectural Heritage" projects, which includes several landmark buildings in Guangzhou.

The Guangdong Yingbin Hotel is the only garden-style hotel in the center of Guangzhou. The original site of the hotel can be traced back to the Renxiao Temple during the Qin (221-206 BC) and Han (206 BC-220) dynasties and has a history of over 2,200 years. The site has also been included in the "First List of Historical Buildings in Guangzhou City."

In addition, LN Guangzhou Hotel was selected. It was designed by the master architect Mo Bozhi, famous for his "Lingnan New Architecture" designs. The hotel was built in 1968 and then renovated in 2022. It still retains its original architectural charm but is now supplemented with contemporary aesthetics.

LN Liu Hua Hotel, which opened in October 1972, was also selected. In the early 1970s, the Canton Fair relocated to the Liu Hua area, making the area a window for the outside world to look into Guangzhou. LN Liu Hua Hotel, Guangzhou Railway Station, and the Canton Fair Liu Hua Exhibition Hall became a leading group of buildings during this time, and they were known as part of the eight new scenes of Guangzhou.

The Overseas Chinese New Village was selected to be on the list as well. It was built in the 1950s, and was the largest and earliest overseas Chinese residential area in the country, known as "China's First Overseas Chinese Village."
