To welcome the upcoming Chinese New Year, or the Year of the Dragon, a captivating calligraphy and painting exhibition is ongoing at the Bay Area Library of the Zhujiang Park in Guangzhou's Tianhe district through February 18.
Titled "We Two", the exhibition features around 100 works by the artist couple Chen Yubi, a member of the Guangdong Calligraphers Association, and Luo Xiaoyan, a member of the Guangdong Artists Association.
The series of paintings by Luo Xiaoyan are themed on the Year of the Dragon.
By integrating traditional calligraphy with the contemporary youth culture, Chen creates interesting calligraphy works.
By using homophonic puns, Luo's paintings attract many viewers.
