The island of Ardeidae in Liuhuahu Park is dubbed as Paradise of Birds in Downtown Guangzhou. It is the largest wetland within the downtown of Guangzhou, with an area of 6500 more square meters. On the island gathers thousands of Ardeidae, and alongside same is a bird watching teahouse and tourist viewing stand.
The Ardeidae Protection Zone, known as "paradise of birds", was developed as a base to attract birds in 1981. It provides them with a comfortable place to perch and reproduce. Since then, the number of Ardeidae has been increasing from hundreds to thousands. Every morning, thousands of birds fly out of their nests and every night, return. What a grand landscape! When the Queen of Great Britain paid a visit to China in 1986, she stopped by the park and was deeply fascinated by the beautiful scenery here.
Further to the above, you can buy pet birds in the well-known Liuhua Birds Garden at the eastern side of the Park.
