In 2025, Guangzhou made all-out efforts to boost the economy. Support for effective demand was strengthened. Total fixed asset investment reached 806.2 billion yuan, ranking first in the province. Total retail sales of consumer goods exceeded 1.1 trillion yuan, up 5.5%. The total value of imports and exports surpassed 1.2 trillion yuan, growing by 10.4%, of which commodity exports rose by 17.8%, the highest growth rate in the province. Industrial innovation gained new momentum. The region successfully achieved “three increases” in grain sown area, total output, and yield per unit area. The total output value of the secondary industry exceeded 3.3 trillion yuan. The growth rate of added value by industrial enterprises above designated size turned from negative to positive. Industrial investment as a proportion of total fixed asset investment rose to 20.8%. The added value of modern services exceeded 1.6 trillion yuan, accounting for 67.6% of the total added value of the tertiary industry. High value-added service sectors, including internet and software services, leasing and business services, and scientific and technological services, maintained rapid growth. The investment promotion system was revamped. Five key industry offices were established. Nine projects with investment exceeding 10 billion yuan and 114 projects with investment exceeding 1 billion yuan were newly introduced. Construction commenced on major projects with investment exceeding 10 billion yuan, including the TCL CSOT T8 project and the Xizang-Guangdong DC Transmission Project.
