Guangzhou Metro launches cultural activities to welcome fortune forum The Canton Tower Station of Guangzhou's Metro Line 3 was specially decorated on Nov 20, marking the beginning of a series of thematic cultural activities launched by Guangzhou Metro to welcome the imminent Fortune Global Forum 2017. Paintings under the themes of "Spring Flower", "Summer Fruit", "Autumn Night" and "Winter Festvial" have been put on the station's walls and light boxes, offering citizens and inbound visitors an opportunity to learn about the distinctive local culture of Guangzhou, which is known as the "Flower City". Moreover, Guangzhou Metro will launch four types of special tickets on Nov 28. Earlier on Nov 16, Guanzhou Metro announced its cooperation with internet giant Tecent to roll out an applet in WeChat, enabling citizens to pay for subway rides simply by scanning QR code.
